Simply put, Clean Eating is tweaking your lifestyle to enjoy foods in their natural, unprocessed and unadulterated state. Staying away from processed and packaged foods that are laden with refined flours, oils, sugars and salts and those that have a myriad of artificial colors and flavors, herbicides, pesticides and fungicides. It’s NOT a diet yet merely a lifestyle change!!!
Examples of Clean Eating:
Whole grains – quinoa, amaranth & buckwheat
Raw Nuts – almonds, walnuts & cashews
Seeds – sunflower, pumpkin & sesame
Healthy Fats – avocados, wild caught salmon, flax, chia, & raw cacao.
Organic – preferably PASTURE RAISED meats, dairy & poultry.
Non-Dairy Milk – either make your own or buy those with the least amount of ingredients.
Fruits & Veggies – Organic and/or NON-GMO including lots of dark leafy greens with meals!
